Magda Jugo, PhD is a multidisciplinary designer
with a strong focus on product & ceramic research + design.
Currently working at her ceramic studio in Poznań, Poland where she is creating custom tableware for cafes and restaurants from around the world.
From 2018 to 2022 she has been a teacher/lecturer and an active participant in R&D projects carried out at the Industrial Design Faculty at University of Arts Poznań (UAP). In 2023 she completed her PhD in Industrial Design at the University of Arts in Poznan. During her time of studying she participated in several academic scholarships (in Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands) where she was working in the realms of food design, cultural heritage and was responsible for developing and handcrafting ceramic tableware.
Her field of work ranges from developing products, ceramic research and ceramic workshops, providing product design education to creative consultancy.
She values design strategies that lead to sustainable product development as well as projects that are deeply rooted in local landscapes and traditions . She loves working hands on with the material.
